What is the difference between the glass mirror and acrylic mirror?

Mirrors made of glass or acrylic have virtually no difference in reflective viewing or brilliance. Glass surfaces, because of their hardness, are more resistant to surface scratching than acrylic surfaces. Acrylic mirrors are shatterproof and lighter than glass mirrors.

What is the difference between the convex mirror and flat mirror?

The convex mirror is curved outwards to provide a wider viewing angle. They are used to reduce shoplifting in retail stores and prevent factory intersection traffic accidents. Flat mirrors are primarily used for viewing stationary objects.

How do I select the proper size mirror?

As a guide to ordering, many customers use a formula of 1 inch of mirror diameter for each foot of viewing distance desired, noting that the larger the mirror has a more detailed reflected view. Therefore, a mirror with a 13" diameter is used for viewing a distance of up to 13 feet, a 26" diameter for viewing up to 26 feet, and so on. Convex rectangular mirrors are well suited for areas with low ceiling heights. (If you are unsure of the size or type of mirror, please contact us.)

Why should I choose a dome mirror?

When properly positioned, one dome mirror can reflect the same area as 2 or more conventional mirrors.  It provids detection, surveillance and accident prevention in stores, hospitals, factories, warehouses at any type of intersection.

How do I select the right dome mirror?

Our 360° Full Dome Mirror (is a full sphere cut in half) can be suspended from the ceiling or attached directly to the ceiling for 4-way intersections. Our 180° Half Dome mounts to wall or ceiling for 3-way "T" intersections, and our 90° Quarter Dome mounts to ceiling or wall, for 2-way "L" intersections.
